What Is an Omnivorous Species?

Omnivores eat both animal-based protein and plant matter, and most freshwater community fish fall into this category. Species like mollies, platies, tetras, barbs, loaches, shrimp, and snails thrive on a mixed diet. Community Plus offers a complete solution with ingredients they would naturally encounter in the wild—making it a perfect daily staple.

How to Use:

1. Bring water to a boil using the stove, microwave, or kettle.

2. Combine 1 part powder with 2–3 parts boiling water, stir until smooth.

3. Pour into a mold or container and let it set at room temperature.

4. Once firm, cut into cubes, strips, or use whole slabs for feeding.

Jerky Option: Pour the finished gel into a deep container, cut into ¼-inch thick slices, and dry at 150°F (65°C) in an oven or dehydrator for 8–12 hours. The dried jerky offers a slow-release feeding option.

Storage Tip: Keep finished gel sealed in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 6 months.
